iyer {family}

I had heard my dad mention Sada’s name many times throughout these past several years & knew they were close friends at work. They both work for Shell & have spent their fair share of time traveling around the world. My dad visited their family while they were living in London & I knew Sada had been out to our house. Unfortunately, I did not share in the either event.

Last Friday, as I was running out the door to head to their house, my dad said, “Don’t believe anything Sada says.” About what? “About me! He’s kind of a jokester.” Sure enough, Sada was already laughing when he opened the door. It was going to be a fun morning.

Samika, the baby, was born in September, & the grandparents have been visiting the States since August.

Her little dress was so cute! Samika thought it was quite tasty as well.

Advika & I took a quick break to work on some art. I need one of these tables in my room.

After a quick bottle, we were back to taking pictures!

Whew, we’ve been quite busy this morning. Drawing, drinking bottles, & now violins! They’re pretty good at Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. Waaaay better than me, that’s for sure! Advika is in kindergarten right now & I found her books. I nearly squealed out loud when I saw they were THE SAME BOOKS I used in kindergarten. Is it sad that I still have mine at home in my nightstand? Is it sad that I even know where they are?

More family members! They conveniently lived in the same neighborhood.

Introducing the ‘W’ family! Such a tongue twister trying to remember everybody’s names, but it was safe to guess that their name started with a W. whew!

allison&billy’s flower girls {wedding} part 2

I have to be honest…I wasn’t too thrilled when I heard there were going to be SIX flower girls, ages 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.  Much to my surprise, these little girls were the most precious things ever and turned out to be one of the best parts of the wedding.  They were always ready to smile, cousins, best friends, and had on the most adorable dresses ever.  I loved that they carried actual bouquets instead of tossing rose petals.

I did notice some little finger prints in the groom’s cake…I don’t know who did it but I have an idea.

My personal favorite photo from the entire day. Surely you understand why.

Not only did they give their own toast (“Allison is pretty!” ), but they did their own choreographed dance to “Thriller.” Priceless.
