This post has finally arrived!! When they asked me to do their family photos, it was like I won the lottery. I first visited their house about two years ago, and I was instantly drawn to their family portraits in the den. I wish I could describe them to you, but I really can’t. A few words come to mind though. Non-traditional. Hilarious. Awesome.
I walked into their den to find the mom up on a ladder hanging random framed photos and posters in a corner of the living room. The furniture had all been moved aside and she says, “We love the Marx brothers and we have this photograph of them we want to recreate. Jake is out buying cigars and grease paint. But first, we’re going to have a tea party.” I’m pretty certain all I could do was laugh. This was going to be fun.
I would like to point out the small photograph in the black frame on the left side of the door is the photograph below.
We spent a lot of time studying the photo.
Making sure the hair is good and big.
We were wrapping up when they found another photo to recreate.
Now for tea time! The following photos may seem repetitive to you, but they crack me up every time I look at them. Each one has something special about it….and at least two people laughing.
“This is me, refusing the plate of cookies.”
