I met Ashley over a year ago at an art exhibit, & I was so happy when she called me to schedule a family photo shoot! The whole family was adorable & the gardens were beautiful! Enjoy!
The photo below melts my heart every time.
This little guy is going to be a handful when he grows up. Yes, he posed himself.
lindy&ben {engagement}
I met Ben three years ago when we were on Media Crew together for Impact. Or was that last summer?? All I know is that Impact was a blast, even if by the end of it we were all sleep & caffeine deprived.
Throughout the shoot, Lindy kept making fun of themselves & how ‘unprepared’ they were for the shoot. Honestly, for them, it worked out splendidly. It’s couples like them that make me love what I do. They don’t sweat the small stuff like forgetting the chalk for the cute chalkboard you made, or forgetting contact solution so you now have to walk around blind. Instead, we enjoyed the afternoon & got a lot of great photos out of it. Speaking of, the first photo is one of my absolute favorites. So happy!
Don’t these following photos remind you of Christmas?? IT’S COMING!
I can never remember the name of this park, but when I realized that their favorite tree & MY favorite tree was (were?) the same tree, I got so excited! Turns out, they actually got engaged under this tree. Everybody say awwwww!
When they sat down on the bench, I asked, “Is this where y’all got proposed to?” Lindy said, “No, this is where I got proposed to. Ben did the proposing.”
Paint fight? YES, PLEASE!
juana&ramon {wedding}
It’s always a pleasure photographing a friend’s wedding, it’s even more fun when you’re friends with both the bride & the groom! I met Ramon & Juana a little over a year ago in Sunday school class & have enjoyed getting to know them. Ramon is a jokester & Juana couldn’t be a better match for him. She let’s him do his thing while she just smiles & playfully swats his arm any time he says something that causes her to blush (which happens a lot.)
Juana is a runner & had signed up for a marathon with her friends. After dreaming about the proposal & learning from one of Juana’s friends that she had had almost the exact same dream, Ramon decided to propose to Juana when she crossed the finish line surrounded by their friends & “marry me” in huge Spanish letters on the beach. I’ve seen the video & it is super adorable, but unfortunately I can’t find it. Sad face!
The wedding took place at the Winfield Inn in Kyle, Texas, & thank the Lord the storm clouds rolled in. When I arrived, it was a whopping 110 degrees. About an hour before the ceremony, the temperature dropped about 15 degrees & all were happy.
Juana was the first to use my brand new bridal hanger!
One of the best parts of the day was when Juana & Ramon had their First….Look? Ramon kept asking, “What does your dress look like? Is it poofy?” Juana kept screaming, “Don’t touch me!” Hilarious.
Ramon & Juana opted to braid a rope instead of the traditional unity candle demonstrating Ecclesiastes 4:12. The white rope represented Juana, the purple rope was Ramon, & the gold rope represented God.
Their ceremony was done in English & in Spanish, which meant that Ramon had to wait twice as long to hear the pastor say that he could kiss his new bride.
A successful first dance high five? Sure!
